When I Grow Up is featured in the seventh episode of the second season of The Glee Project, Theatricality. It is sung by the top eight contenders: Abraham, Ali, Aylin, Blake, Lily Mae, Michael, Nellie, and Shanna. The song was originally done by the Pussycat Dolls.

Ali was the winner of the homework assignment in this episode (I Hope I Get It), so she received a larger part in this song than the other contenders did.
