Popular was a last chance performance sung by Ali Stroker in the finale of the second season of The Glee Project, Glee-ality. It was originally from the musical Wicked. Ali was announced the runner-up of The Glee Project Season 2 after this performance.

Kristin Chenoweth (April Rhodes on Glee) and Idina Menzel (Shelby Corcoran on Glee) performed this song on Broadway as G(a)linda and Elphaba.
This is the second time they sing a song from the musical Wicked. The first one is Defying Gravity sung by Lindsay for her last chance performance from episode Generosity.
