Believability is the eighth episode in season one of The Glee Project, a spin-off of Glee, in which young hopefuls compete for a seven episode guest starring role on the show.

Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina Cohen-Chang on Glee) guest mentors and forces the contenders to get real; one contender's intensity hinders the group performance. Alex and Lindsay are brought to tears while recording the number.

Guest Mentor: Jenna Ushkowitz
Homework Assignment Winner: Hannah
Eliminated: Hannah

Summary[]

During the homework assignment the remaining contenders sang 'True Colours'. This song was sang on Glee by Jenna Ushkowitz, who was also the guest mentor. Each contender performed the entire song as a solo. After the performance Jenna chose Hannah as the winner of the HWA.

In the recording booth Alex broke down, because he was thinking about the time where his father died. Nikki comforted him and when he calmed down, he moved her with his voice and sounded very believable. After Alex left the recording booth, he told the other contestants about his breakdown. Lindsay then recorded her parts and also started crying, but Nikki felt as if this was fake. When Lindsay left the recording booth she said "You're awesome" to Nikki, who then stated she knows for sure Lindsay didn't mean that.

During the video shoot Hannah struggled, because she got very distracted. She had to pretend to be in love with Alex, but Damian was sitting close to him and this confused her. Alex, who was thinking about his father again, looked too sad at first. When the mentors told him this, he changed and was able to give them chills. Samuel looked too intense and aggressive during the video, which was not the concept.

The bottom three was Lindsay, Samuel, and Hannah. Hannah performed Back to December which is one of her favorite songs but was told she is the weaker singer of the bottom three. However, Ryan did see that she was very much the show and liked her bright personality. Samuel performed Animal. He is familiar with the song, but Ryan says of the bottom three that performed he is the most unrelatable and Samuel does not seem like an underdog. Lindsay performed Maybe This Time from Cabaret. Ryan commented that she is like Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), but the difference between them is that he does not root for her. He also commented on how when Lindsay broke down while recording, that it seemed fake. He wanted her to really look into herself and find the true Lindsay, and bring her out.

In the end Hannah was eliminated and this is the second time that a Homework winner got sent to the bottom three and got eliminated, the first time being Marissa in Tenacity.
