I Will Survive was a last chance performance sung by Alex in the seventh episode of the first season of The Glee Project, Sexuality. It was originally sung by Gloria Gaynor. Ryan said, after the performance, that he would like to see something else from Alex, something more real than his diva-character. This performance saved Alex from elimination for a further week.

- This was sung as a mash-up (with "Survivor" by Destiny's Child) on Glee by the Troubletones in the episode Hold on to Sixteen. Ironically, it was sung partly by Mercedes, who Ryan spoke with and joked with her that Alex was competition for her.
